If you are interested in 3D printing, there is a good chance you covet having your own printer.

Many hobbyists and small business owners can benefit from the purchase of your own 3D printer, but have a problem finding one under a thousand dollars. This is where we swoop in to save the day, with a list of three high quality and afforable 3D printers. All of our picks are under $1000.

The first machine to take a look at is the da Vinci Jr. 1.0. Typically this printer costs around $350 (currently on sale on Amazon for just $200) This printer even comes in four different color options. It also comes with free software to get you started, perfect for a beginner. Another great option at around the same price is the FlashForge Finder. At first glance the FlashForge looks very similar to the da Vinci Jr. The FlashForge looks a bit less like a toy and more like a serious piece of equipment. The da Vinci weighs more and has higher voltage, so it’s all dependent on your specific needs.

One last option that is still under $1000 but is much closer to the top of our budget is the QIDI Technology X-Pro Printer. It clocks in at about $800 and is capable of high precision printing. It also has two extruders which makes it stand out above the other options we have listed.
